Depth1 is an ultrasonic depth metre that operates on the basis of emitting ultrasonic sound waves and when reflected calculating distance using the turn around time. Our depth meter is available with through the hull or in hull mounted transducers. The former requires a new hole to be drilled in your vessel hull, while the latter is glued to the bottom. Please be aware that while gluing could look like a more attractive method as being less intrusive it might not work on certain boat hull materials like for instance sandwich structures.
